Approach
- What should be presented on the website?
- To whom will the website be addressed?
(Target group) - What should the visitor be motivated to do?
These are the most important issues that we discuss with you at the beginning of a web project. This can be done with an individually prepared questionnaire, which you can go through and answer in your own tempo.
This approach is the basis for a detailed plan for the contents, design and technical realisation of the site.
What should be presented on the website?
Should products, services, information, activities, or combinations of these be presented on the website? How detailed should they be displayed? How can they be organised? What special features can be highlighted? How should the presentation be supported visually?
Together with you we will work out a Plan for your website to be able to present your products, services, etc. successfully.
To whom will the website be addressed? (Target group)
At the beginning of a web project it should be clarified to which target group the website is addressed - that is, what type of visitors there are to be expected.
The website of a medical specialist could, for example, be addressed at the target group of his colleagues, or, on the contrary, to his patients. Accordingly, both contents will be created in various ways, which means that the formulation of the texts will differ as well as the presentation of the contents.
We cooperate with you to identify the desired target group and we use your input on the Plan for the creation of your website.
What should the visitor be motivated to do?
To which action should a visitor of your website be motivated? Should your visitors be stimulated to buy something, to contact you or should they only be informed? Depending on the desired motivation the main focus of interactivity will be weighted differently.
We can help you to compose the strategic focus of your website to motivate your visitors accordingly.
Structure - Sitemap
The results of the approach will form basis for the sitemap of the website. The sitemap is the outline map of a website that reflects its structure. Looking at this map, the visitor can see what kind of main groups with regard to the content exist on the website and how they are divided into sub-groups and linked between each other. A well-arranged and understandable structure is crucial for the functionality and user-friendliness of the website, as well as for the design and expansion possibilities and successful rating by search engines.
Therefore, at the beginning of a web project particular emphasis is put on the well-thought-out structure of the site, because this structure will form the base for all further work and will influence the graphical as well as the technical design.
Project Plan
Collection, evaluation and creation
During the planning phase it will be decided, with what kind of contents the different main and sub-groups will be filled. In this phase, the type and length of the texts will be roughly specified, as well as the amount of photographs, illustrations or other graphic elements and whether there should be interactive entries (like forms) etc.
Based on the created structure of the site, pre-existing material such as flyers, brochures, photographs, old websites, texts, etc. will now be collected and evaluated. This is the moment when missing or incomplete material such as additional photographs, illustrations, supplementary texts, texts that have to be corrected, forms etc. will be integrated into a task list.
For the final evaluation and selection, the presentation criteria, target selection and visitor motivation (data gathered during the "Approach"-phase) will now be taken into consideration.
Milestones
From the elaborated plan now the particular tasks will emerge that we have to fulfill: these tasks will be set as milestones in the final project plan.
